complimentary shortly after check-in.

Casino Overview

The casino has more than 1,000 slot machines and 70 table games.  There is a small non-smoking section near the Food Market.

Complimentary non-alcoholic drink service is relatively frequent, but alcohol is served only from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday, and from noon to 2 a.m. on Sundays, and it is not complimentary.

To use your Reward Credits to purchase alcoholic beverages in the casino, go to the bar near the entrance.  If you order a cocktail from a server on the casino floor you'll have to pay cash upfront.

Dining and Entertainment
A Food Market, above, is your only option for food:
  • Nathan's Famous/Arthur Treacher's (open 24 hours a day, seven days a week - serves breakfast 8 to 11 a.m.)
  • Panda Express (open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, until 3 a.m. Thursday through Sunday)
  • Earl of Sandwich (open daily 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
  • Papa John's Pizza (open 5 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday)
From 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Wednesday and 3 to 8 a.m. Thursday through Sunday, the Food Market has limited service.  Nathan's Famous will have hot dogs, french fries, and grab-n-go items, including snacks, soft drinks, cigarettes and sundries.

There's also a Starbucks in the lobby between the casino and the escalator to the hotel.  Starbucks is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and until 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.  Breakfast is served beginning at 6 a.m.

The casino has no formal showroom or event center, but periodically schedules concerts and other entertainment.  Click here for the latest information.

Seven Stars Lounge

There is no Seven Stars Lounge, but the Diamond Lounge off the casino floor is open (subject to change):

Monday - Thursday: 3 to 10 p.m.
Friday: 3 p.m. to Midnight
Saturday: 1 p.m. to Midnight
Sunday: 1 to 10 p.m.

The lounge has lots of comfortable seating and a small bar.  When I visited the lounge wasn't open so I can't comment on any food service, but I understand the lounge serves light snacks, not a full meal as at Harrah's Cherokee.

Seven Stars cardholders
may bring up to two guests each day with unlimited daily visits; Diamond cardholders and a guest may visit only once per day, or pay 10 comp dollars per person for a second admittance.  Non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary, and alcoholic beverages are sold at a reduced price (approximately $2 for beer, house wine and cocktails).  You can use Reward Credits to pay for drinks.

Special Seven Stars Benefits*
The only special Seven Stars benefits are:
  • a complimentary drink upgrade (in a special cup) at the Food Court, right.
  • complimentary WiFi for hotel guests, as well as unlimited complimentary in-room movies and selected non-alcoholic beverages.
  • complimentary valet parking.

Total Rewards Center

The Total Rewards Center, located on the casino floor, is open:

  • Sunday through Thursday: 7 to 2 a.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 24 hours

Should You Choose This For Your Annual Retreat?

While I suppose it's an option, the biggest drawback is spending your $500 folio credit.  Unless you're a fan of fast food, eating $500 worth of hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, etc., could get a little boring.

There are certainly plenty of other things to do in the area, but you'd need your own vehicle.  Otherwise, you're pretty much stuck there.

Insider Tip

Unlike other Total Rewards casinos, players can redeem Reward Credits for cash instead of free play.  Go to either Total Rewards Center.  The redemption rates are the same as if you were redeeming for free play at any other casino and vary based on tier level.
As always, when you check-in, be sure to verify that your $500 comp account has been set-up.  Gratuities may be charged to your room and settled at check-out with your credit card on file.

Any taxes on food are waived, and not counted toward your $500 in allowable expenses.  Best advice is to keep all your receipts until you settle your final bill.
