Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino

Overview
Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, like Harrah's down the Strip, suffers from an identity crisis.  With no particular theme or "look," it's just another Las Vegas casino hotel.  As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."  There is a special Diamond check-in to the far left of the front desk.  If it's busy, look for the small Seven Stars placard to receive priority treatment.  Self-parking in an adjacent garage (shared with Paris) is complimentary, but it's a bit of a walk if you have lots of luggage.  Take advantage of the complimentary valet parking and you'll be within steps of hotel check-in.  If business is taking you to the Convention Center, Bally's is directly on the monorail line, but it's a long walk from the casino to the station.

Hotel guestrooms

Among the largest standard rooms on the Strip, they recently have been renovated, and they're bright and spacious.  There is a desk for those who must combine business with pleasure, and high-speed Internet access is dependable. Refrigerators and coffeemakers are available upon request.

Casino overview
The casino has all the typical slots and table games one would expect, but it lacks "pizzazz."  Complimentary drink service in the casino is relatively frequent; and dealers, slot attendants and servers all are extremely friendly and helpful.

Entertainment
For years Bally's main showroom was home to the long-running topless showgirl spectacular, Jubilee.  The show closed Feb. 11, 2016.  "Masters Of Illusion" is the current tenant, but will be closing after the Sept. 3 performance.

Other shows take place in the Windows Showroom (which used to be the casino's buffet).

Twilight Zone by Monster Mini Golf is located near the food court and sports book, and cost about $1 million to create.  Themed around the classic Rod Serling television series, the 10,000-sq. ft. attraction features an event room, gift shop, wedding chapel, arcade games and four bowling lanes.  The 18-hole miniature golf course features Twilight Zone props and scenes from the show painted on the walls in black-light black-and-white.  The attraction is designed to be interactive.  For instance, golfers can take a picture next to Burgess Meredith among stacks of books and post it via social media.  The course is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight.  Cost is $11.95, or $9.95 for locals.  For more information, call (702) 333-2121 or visit SyFyMiniGolf.com.

This is not for me, but Real Bodies at Bally's uses real human specimens "to explore the complex inner workings of the human form in a refreshing and thought-provoking style."  According to Bally's website, "[T]he Exhibition provides an approachable and fascinating insight into what's happening inside every one of us [and] also explores how elements such as breathing, hunger, the rhythm of the heart, and other essential body functions have deep cultural and emotional significance that reach as far back as the dawn of humanity."  Click here for complete information and to purchase tickets.

Dining
For fine dining there is BLT Steak (with its decadent Sterling Brunch on Sundays), as well as SEA: The Thai Experience.  In addition, there are Nosh Deli, Sbarro, LavAzza, Johnny Rockets, Subway and Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, as well as  Buca di Beppo Las Vegas and Tequila Taqueria Bar & Grill.  Nathan's, Sbarro, Subway and Johnny Rockets do not accept Reward Credits, nor can you charge to your room.

Special Seven Stars benefits
There are no property-specific benefits, but click here for a list of benefits which are available at all Las Vegas Total Rewards casinos.

Seven Stars Lounge

There is neither a Seven Stars nor a Diamond Lounge; the nearest Diamond Lounge is at Paris.

Should you choose this for your Annual Retreat?
Las Vegas remains the gaming mecca in the United States, and is probably the most popular destination for Seven Stars trips.  With eight other Caesars properties in town (Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah's, The LINQ, Rio, Planet Hollywood and Paris), dozens of restaurants, nightclubs, golf, showrooms, the Forum Shops at Caesars (and other shops located inside Caesars properties), spa treatments, and relaxing by the pool (weather permitting), it would be easy to spend four nights (and $500) here – especially since you can "cross charge" to your room meals and other eligible expenses, even if they take place at another Caesars property in Las Vegas.

When you check-in, be sure to verify that your $500 comp account has been set-up and ask what it includes specifically which restaurant and bars (city-wide).  At a minimum, meals and alcohol charged to the room (at participating outlets) counts toward your $500 in expenses, but not gratuities.  Best advice is to keep all your receipts until you settle your final bill.
